The temporary shop opened in the town's Darwin Shopping Centre on Saturday at 3pm.

The new store is a ‘one-stop’ shopping destination for Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars gifts for all ages, across fashion, accessories, toys, homeware, collectibles and more.

Kevin Lockwood, Shrewsbury shopping centres manager, said: “We’re delighted that the Disney Store is now open and thrilled that is been so well received and so warmly welcomed.

“We had a fantastic and positive response on social media to the news that the Disney Store was to open, and it’s brilliant that people have turned out in such large numbers to visit the store since its opening.

“Customers told us that they would love to see a Disney store in the centre, so we’re delighted that we’ve been able to help make this a reality.

"We’re certain that Disney will be a popular and successful addition to the Darwin Centre and we wish them every success.”

To celebrate the opening, Disney and the Darwin Centre are offering giveaways on the centre's Facebook and Twitter channels.

Graham Burridge, managing director, Disney Store Europe, said: “We’re delighted to open a pop-up Disney Store at The Darwin Centre.

"Guests will find exclusive Mickey Mouse products and our seasonal ranges as well as all things Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars.

“Disney Store remains the number one destination for families and gift-givers and we look forward to welcoming Shrewsbury guests in store over the coming weeks and months.”
