The Boathouse on New Street, Shrewsbury, is one of Shropshire's best loved historic pubs.

Set in the stunning location on the banks of the River Severn, The Boathouse serves up some spectacular views of the river and the Quarry Park.

The pub and restaurant is renowned for its sun-drenched terrace and beer garden, and is where people can visit to sit and peacefully watch the boats go by.

The general manager is Thomas Warren, who has been running The Boathouse for almost four months.

Thomas has worked in the pub industry for a while now, but this is the first in Shropshire, and says he has had a fantastic time doing so, since taking over.

"I have worked in pubs for a long time, running other establishments but this is the first in Shropshire," he says.

"My family relocated to Shropshire, I'm originally from just outside of London, but it has been really good since taking over - the business has been running well.
