Award-winning Telford salon celebrates special anniversary

 The team at Yutopia Spa, in Madeley High Street, is celebrating ten successful years in business by  inviting the local community to join in their festivities.

Owner Donna Edwards said they were hosting an anniversary party on Friday, January 24, from 5pm to 8pm, when guests would get the chance to enjoy fizz, music and product demonstrations.

“I’m extremely proud that we’ve reached our tenth anniversary and that our team continues to grow and thrive after a decade in business,” said Donna.

“Our celebrations will give us the opportunity to welcome representatives from the local community and current and previous clients as a way of thanking everyone for their continued support over the years.”

The salon employees six technicians and has four treatment rooms all designed with tranquility and relaxation in mind.

All staff are NVQ qualified and have many years of industry experience in a wide range of areas and treatments.

Donna is a local therapist with almost 20 years in the business, and qualified in Telford before beginning her career on board cruise ships which was her introduction to working with Elemis skincare.

Donna was scouted by Telford College to run their training salon – Lilly’s – inside the Telford Whitehouse Hotel, and when the salon eventually closed, after a refurbishment and rebrand, the Yutopia Spa was born.

Thanks to help from Telford and Wrekin Council via a High Street grant, Yutopia was able to relocate to Madeley High Street where Donna grew up and her family lived for many years.

Donna said: “We are continually investing in training to stay ahead of the latest trends and our most recent addition to our treatments list is the Japanese Head Spa Treatment – a twist on the Indian head massage designed to totally relax clients from head to toe.”

Yutopia Spa is a previous winner of the Day Spa of the Year title in 2019 and 2023 at the Midlands Beauty Industry Awards, and it also won a High Street Hero Award for Madeley for two years running voted for by the local community.

The spa offers a range of beauty and spa treatments including Elemis facials and beauty treatments, Million Dollar facials, massage, waxing, nail enhancements including Biab treatments, eye treatments and much more.
