The business, ilarna, is working with healthcare consultancy firm, Clive Henry Group, and has secured investment from its founders Sam Alsop-Hall, from Shropshire, and Liam Molesworth.

ilarna was launched in 2021 to bring care closer to home using innovative digital technology to match the right care professional with individuals that need access to key care services such as dementia care, palliative care, and personal care. Its platform has a unique matching system which, since its launch, has provided personalised home care solutions to more than 1,000 individuals using AI and machine learning to streamline care delivery, empower individuals to choose their care provider and improve outcomes for patients and families.

Clive Henry Group was formed in 2022 to provide consultancy, recruitment, and technology services to enable real change in the delivery of health and care. In 2024, it was ranked by The Sunday Times 100 as the fastest-growing private company in the West Midlands and second fastest in the UK.

The latest investment and partnership mark another step in ilarna’s journey and will support its ambitious growth plans as it brings transformative changes to how home care is delivered.

The partnership will see ilarna working closely with Sam, Liam, and their team to build capacity within technology-enabled community services to release the burden on NHS Trusts by improving patient flow and reducing avoidable admissions.

Alex Moran, CEO of ilarna, said: “We are delighted to launch our partnership with Clive Henry Group and welcome the investment from Sam and Liam. We have made significant progress in the last four years to build a technology-enabled healthcare service which is well-positioned to support the NHS in its mission to bring care closer to home and, at the same time, achieve our goal of improving how carers are rewarded for their work.

"The support from Sam, Liam, and their team will help us to accelerate our journey and we are excited about working in partnership with them.”

Sam Alsop-Hall, chief strategy officer of Clive Henry Group, added: “ilarna is one of the most exciting businesses we’ve seen in the home care space. Their approach to home care delivery through innovative digital technology is exactly what the NHS needs right now.

"They provide a service that is flexible, personalised, and impactful and helps address some of the fundamental issues the sector is facing. We’re thrilled to support Alex and his team as they continue their growth journey and change lives for the better.”
