Shropshire packaging firm scales up with new premises purchase
A fledgling Shropshire machinery firm has swapped a home office for a smart new unit in Shrewsbury after completing its first premises purchase.
Servopack Ltd, which supplies pharmaceutical packaging machinery, has secured new premises at Shrewsbury’s Battlefield Enterprise Park and will now be based at Unit 7, Yeomanry Road after completing the purchase of a modern semi-detached unit, marketed by Towler Shaw Roberts.
The firm plans to be operating from its new premises by early March once a complete renovation is completed.
Lonn Newby, the owner of Servopack Ltd, said: "I started the company in 2022 and have worked from a home office since then.
"To grow the company, like many other businesses, you start looking for premises. I looked at leasing to begin with, but then saw this unit on the TSR website and it ticked all the boxes because it had office space and a workshop area so it fitted the requirements very nicely.”
The Yeomanry Road property, which extends to 1,450 sq ft, comprises a modern single-storey unit. It has been partitioned internally to provide an open plan general office, director’s office and boardroom, with separate kitchenette and toilet facilities. The property also benefits from a storage area with roller shutter door and mezzanine area above, as well as six car parking spaces and an EV charging point.
Toby Shaw, who handled the sale for TSR, said: "The property forms part of a courtyard development of units located on the popular Battlefield Enterprise Park within the main commercial and industrial area of Shrewsbury.
“It is conveniently situated within close proximity of the A5 and M54 link road.
“Unit 7 was identified by Lonn Newby as being ideal for his company’s requirements, and we wish Servopack Ltd continued success in their new premises.”
