'Huge boost' for Telford bathroom business after award from Dragons Den star Theo Paphitis
A Telford bathroom company has been celebrating after kicking off the new year with an award from retail icon Theo Paphitis.

David and Fran Ash, of Telford company Ash Plumbing & Bathrooms were one of six weekly winners to be selected for a Small Business Sunday award by Retail Entrepreneur and former BBC Dragons Den star Theo Paphitis.
As part of the prize, the firm gained a repost by Theo to his half a million Twitter, 50k+ Instagram and almost 300k LinkedIn followers.
The couple say they have received a "huge boost" in their website traffic since the award, and are also profiled on a Small Business Sunday website that is exclusive to all Small Business Sunday winners.
“Starting the year with a Theo Paphitis SBS Award win has been an incredible milestone for our business," said Fran.
"Attending the SBS event in Birmingham to collect our award in person from Theo himself was an unforgettable experience.
“The energy in the room was inspiring, and the sense of community among the SBS winners was truly amazing, everyone was so welcoming and supportive. The SBS network is such a valuable resource for small businesses like ours and we’re excited to be part of it.”
The company was founded in 2010 by David Ash as a one-man operation, and now employs four people, with ambitions to expand further, it says.
“As a family-run business, we take great pride in working closely with our community, collaborating with other local businesses and charities, and helping to create homes and commercial spaces that are both beautiful and functional," added Fran.
