Local insurance broker Howden Shrewsbury is organising the event, which is the second of its kind to bring businesses together to share best practice and build their contacts.

The ‘In The Loop’ campaign is designed to support businesses in Shrewsbury town centre by encouraging them to work together, as well as hosting networking events.

The next event will take place on January 30 at Cromwell’s Tap House in Dogpole, starting at 5.30pm, with Kirsty Smallman from J&PR providing advice on how businesses can tell their story through PR and content marketing.

Chris Beane, divisional director at Howden Insurance, said the In The Loop campaign had been well-received by businesses in Shrewsbury.

“Shrewsbury is a fantastic place to live and work, which is why we launched the In The Loop campaign to bring businesses together earlier this year,” he said.

“The aim is to help each other by encouraging businesses based in the town centre to buy products and services from each other, creating a positive circular economy which benefits everyone.

“We also want to hold events which bring people together in an informal way, both to build their network of contacts and to hear from experts who can provide useful hints and tips which are genuinely useful to help businesses grow.

“Our first In The Loop event in the summer was a great success, and we are delighted to welcome Kirsty Smallman from Shropshire-based PR agency, J&PR, to our next event on January 30.

“Kirsty will be sharing her knowledge on creating and sharing stories from the heart of your business through the power of PR.”

The event is free to attend, and people can book a place by visiting https://www.howdeninsurance.co.uk/in-the-loop-shrewsbury

Kirsty added: “I think the In The Loop campaign is a fantastic initiative and I’m really looking forward to meeting fellow business owners at the event on January 30.

“I’ll be sharing ideas and hopefully providing some inspiration about how businesses can raise their profile by telling their stories, and I’m grateful to the team at Howden for inviting me along.”
