An Ifor Williams HB505 horse trailer was taken from the home of Dawn Boyd in Wistanstow, near Craven Arms on Monday night – but the vehicle that took it should be easy to spot as it lost a section of bumper on the way out.
Mrs Boyd, who is managing director at Boyd Scaffolding Ltd in Craven Arms, said: "We had our horse box stolen last night from Wistanstow, a blue Ifor Williams trailer.
"They hit the grass bank turning out and left a bit of their blue bumper behind so if anyone sees a car driving around with this piece missing please get details and contact myself or police. We believe the car to be a blue Land Rover discovery.
"The police have been informed."
The trailer had the number plate A6LLA, a SECOM security sticker on the number plate panel and a spare wheel on the left hand side as viewed from the rear, she said.
It follows the theft of a silver-coloured Ifor Williams single-axled trailer with mesh sides, that was stolen from beside a house in Fishmore View, Ludlow, between 3pm on May 5 and 11pm on May 8.
Anyone with information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101.
