Man hit on the head in Telford Town Park robbery

Thieves hit a man on the head before stealing cash from him in Telford Town Park.

The incident is reported to have taken place between 7pm and 8pm on January 18, while the man was walking along Silkin Way.

The man, in his 30s, was walking near the benches next to Dawley platform, when he was approached from behind by three men wearing hooded jackets.

The victim is reported to have been hit on the head, before a quantity of cash was removed from him.

The group ran off in an unknown direction. There are no further descriptions of the men at this time.

The victim suffered minor injuries and was left shaken by the incident.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time.
