Man arrested for carrying knife in Shrewsbury town centre
A man was arrested for carrying a knife in Shrewsbury town centre.
The arrest came amid a busy weekend for police around the town.
Police said a man was detained overnight on Saturday for possession of a knife in a public place.
The man was charged and was set to appear in court on Monday.
Meanwhile police arrested a man at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital's A&E department for being aggressive towards hospital staff.
In a third incident, police said a man was arrested for being drunk and disorderly in the town overnight.
