Burglars attempt to break into two pubs

Burglars have attempted to break into two pubs in south Shropshire in recent days.

A licensed premises in Newcastle, Clun, was broken into and a till and a 52-inch TV were stolen.

The break-in was between 11.30pm on May 17 and 7.30am on May 18.

Meanwhile, an attempt was made to break into another pub in The Square, Clun.

A door was damaged but no access was gained when the incident occurred between 12.30am and 8.30am on May 19.

Also, windows at two homes in south Shropshire have been smashed, but no entry was gained.

Overnight between May 19 and 20, a double glazed conservatory window at a house in Swains Meadow, Church Stretton, was broken.

Also, the kitchen window of a cottage in South Road, Ditton Priors was smashed between 4.30pm and midnight on May 19.
