Dogs left in hot cars were reported to police three times in a day.

West Mercia Police received three reports from members of the public yesterday, when temperatures reached 25 degrees in Shropshire.

West Mercia Police Operations and Communications Centre tweeted saying: "Our advice is during such hot weather do not leave dogs unattended in cars."
