Over the last week, officers from the force have been out on patrol in the Ludlow area and members of a community-run group have also been at work taking an active role in road safety.

On February 28 speed checks had been carried out by members of the Community Speedwatch group. Of 47 vehicles checked, seven were recorded as driving in excess of the speed limit. The drivers of those vehicles will now receive warning letters in the post.

On Tuesday (5), officers from the Ludlow Safer Neighbourhood Team were checking speeds on Sheet Street in Ludlow. Four speeding tickets were issued, three drivers were given 'strong words of advice' regarding their speed and one ticket was issued to a driver for not wearing a seatbelt.
