Prolific Telford thief jailed after three-week shoplifting spree

A Telford thief who targeted shops eight times in three weeks has been jailed.

Katie Davies, aged 36, stole £300 worth of items from shops in Telford including pork chops, washing tablets and deodorant.

She targeted the Co-op in Limes Walk, Oakengates, four times, as well as two other Co-op stores in Telford. She also attempted to steal four bottles of Jack Daniels from Tesco at Wrekin Retail Park.

Davies, of Hollybirch Grove, St Georges, pleaded guilty to seven counts of theft and one of attempted theft at Kidderminster Magistrates Court.

She was jailed for 14 weeks.
