Man who spat at nurses at Shrewsbury hospital jailed

A man who spat at two nurses who were trying to help him as been jailed.

Marcus Prince, aged 33, spat at the two female nurses at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital on January 31 this year. He had been released on license from prison at the time he committed the offences.

Prince, from Telford but of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty at Kidderminster Magistrates Court to two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker.

Magistrates jailed him for 10 weeks and ordered him to pay £100 in compensation to each of the nurses he spat at.
