Man apologises for 'dragging it out' as he pleads guilty to Ellesmere drink-drive charge
A man apologised to a judge when he changed his plea as he faced a drink-driving charge.
Police had stopped the man at the A495/A528 in Ellesmere on April 6, and found him nearly twice the legal limit of 35 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
Self-employed builder Benjamin Jones-Hanby, aged 33, of Welsh Frankton, had originally pleaded not guilty to the charge of driving an Audi A3 with a level of alcohol above the legal limit. He had recorded a reading of 60.
