Man who assaulted woman in Telford ordered to do unpaid work

A man who assaulted a woman has been ordered to do unpaid work.

Lemar Booth, aged 19, assaulted the victim in Telford on June 30.

Booth, of Stonedale, Sutton Hill, Telford, pleaded guilty at Kidderminister Magistrates Court to assault by beating.

District Judge Ian Strongman made Booth subject of a 12-month community order, including 40 hours of unpaid work and 25 rehabilitation activity days.

No compensation was ordered, but Booth must pay £135 in prosecution costs and a £114 victim surcharge. He will pay at the rate of £25 a month.
