Riley the police dog

Police dog Riley was taken to an address in Shrewsbury by officers on June 18 after reports of a violent incident.

Riley's handler, PC Emma Worrall, tracked down the culprit, Scott Storey. She warned him to stop or Riley would be released. He failed to do so, and PC Worrall let the dog go.

During the incident, Storey repeatedly punched and kicked the animal, and tried to gouge the dogs eyes while on the floor.
