Ban and hefty fine for Shrewsbury man convicted of drug driving
A motorist was handed a hefty fine after being convicted of driving a BMW with cannabis in his system.
Shane Evans, aged 38, was ordered to do a roadside test on the A5 near the Preston roundabout in Shrewsbury on March 6 this year.
A test found he had seven microgrammes of Delta 9 THC - the main psychoactive component of cannabis - per litre of blood. The legal limit, taking into account accidental exposure, is 2mcg.
