A marked police officer with a laser measuring device clocked the drivers on the A41 at Hinstock on May 25 last year,

The biggest fine went to 52-year-old Peter McConville, who admitted driving a Lexus NX at 94mph at 5.48pm.

Apologising to the court, McConville said: "I sincerely apologise for speeding and wish to add that I have held a clean driving licence for approximately 20 years."

He said he travels up to 12,000 miles annually for work at a consultancy firm which includes travelling to "remote construction sites where public transport is not an option".

Saying a driving ban would have "serious consequences" of his work, he asked for a fine and points instead of a ban.

McConville, of Magazine Road, on the Wirral, was fined £766 and had his licence endorsed with six points, when his case was dealt with at Worcester Justice Centre on Friday, October 6.
