Telford motorcycle breakers ordered to pay £1,000 after failing to ID driver in alleged road crime
A motorbike breakers firm has been fined for not telling police who was driving one of its vehicles when a suspected road offence was committed.
Sycho Motorcycle Breakers Ltd, based at the Halesfield industrial estate in Telford, failed to provide information about who was behind the wheel of a Fiat when the alleged road crime took place on March 3 this year.
No plea was entered to a charge of failing to identify a driver when required at Worcester Magistrates Court, but the firm was found guilty in its absence.
Magistrates fined the company £660, and ordered it to pay £110 in prosecution costs plus a £264 victim surcharge.
