Ahmed Karshe of Daalstraat, Maastricht appeared before district judge Ian Strongman at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

He has been charged with the murder of Tamba Momodu who was shot six times in the head and body in a car park at the Bridges Business Park in Horsehay on October 13, 2020.

The 30-year-old was also charged with arson, in relation to a burnt out grey Skoda Karoq that was found in the car park at the bottom of The Wrekin in Wellington following Mr Momodu's shooting.

Speaking only to confirm his name, address and date or birth, Karshe gave no indication of plea and was remanded in custody ahead of an appearance before a judge at Stafford Crown Court on July 24.

He is the fourth man to be charged with the 2020 killing of Mr Momodu.

In May, Deria Hassan, 32, of Octavia Court, Watford, and Mahamud Tarabi, also 32, of Whiteleys Parade, Uxbridge, were arrested on the same day and charged with murder and arson.

A third man, Merje Ngoy, 24, of Thamesmead, was arrested later in May and was also charged with the same offences.

All three deny the charges.

Mr Momodu lived in Donnington, Telford but grew up in London. In total, more than 30 people have been arrested in connection with his death.

In 2021, Crimestoppers offered a £10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved with the rapper's killing.

A trial is expected to take place in January next year at Stafford Crown Court.
