Mr Eustice will first address the audience on topical government matters relating to the agricultural industry and then provide an opportunity for people to ask questions on local issues that are of concern to them.

Shrewsbury MP Daniel Kawczynski, who has arranged the visit, said: “I am extremely pleased that George Eustice has agreed to come to Shrewsbury and meet Shropshire farmers.

"George has been DEFRA Minister since 2015. He comes from a farming background himself so has first-hand knowledge of the challenges that people working in the agricultural industry can come up against.

"I have invited the local farming community to come along to get a greater understanding of what the Government is doing to support the industry in these times of uncertainty.”
