Halls report “fantastic” first Shrewsbury Plant and Machinery Sale of 2025

Halls auctioneers have hailed the response from buyers and sellers to their first Shrewsbury Plant and Machinery Sale of 2025.

In addition to buyers attending the Shrewsbury Auction Centre site, the auctioneers had many registered on the MartEye online auction platform and on telephones.

 “This fantastic sale attracted a terrific entry of genuine, straight off farm implements, tractors, loaders and diggers as well as an entry of well looked after machinery from Messrs M. G. T. Agricultural, who are restructuring their farming business,” said Halls auctioneer Henry Hyde.

 The restructuring entry saw the day’s top price of £41,500 for a 2017 John Deere 6195R - 4WD with front linkage and auto power transmission with 8,681 hours on the clock. 

 The second highest price of the day was achieved for a 2020 Develon DX140-LC 14 tonne digger with 5,250 hours from a local farm which sold for £27,000.

 Another highlight was a Glendale Engineering mobile cattle crush from the ongoing dispersal from Albrighton Estates LLP which sold for £7,100.

Other leading prices were £17,200 for a 2016 Joskin Komford twin axle 16,000 litre slurry tanker, £14,000 for a 2014 Bunning Lowlander MK4 120 muck spreader, £13,500 for a Connor 3,000 gallon tanker, £13,400 for a 2003 Massey Ferguson 187 square baler, £11,700 for a 16 tonne Bailey root trailer with silage sides, £11,500  for a 1997 New Holland 8260 4WD with front linkage, £10,500 for a 1996 Same Silver 90 4WD with 5,800 hours, £10,500 for a 16 tonne Richard Western root trailer with flat body, £8,750 for a Rolland DM005 twin axle grain trailer, £8,400 for a Case 4240 LP 4WD and £8,100 for a 2012 John Deere 388 butterfly mower conditioner.

 “We can sell everything from tractors and diggers to cattle handling systems in Shrewsbury, as we have buyers registered from all corners of the country and outside the UK,” said Halls auctioneer Henry Hyde. 

 “All entries are gratefully received for our bi-monthly collective machinery sales in Shrewsbury and Kidderminster.”
