Thousands of people across the county will be getting involved in Wear Red for Zac in the hopes of raising £500,000 for four-year-old Zac Oliver.

More than 60 schools will be getting involved – including three in the United States and one in Vietnam.

Supermarkets and other businesses will be getting involved in the campaign as well.

That includes Tesco on the Wrekin Retail Park, which will be turning red on the day.

And on Saturday 40 children will be doing a bag-packing event at both the Wrekin Retail Park and Madeley Tesco shops.

Donnington Wood Asda will be wearing red on Friday as well.

Elsewhere, Catherine's Bakery in Broseley, Bridgnorth and Much Wenlock are selling special Wear Red for Zac biscuits all week, and collection pots are being put in shops around Telford and south Shropshire.
