Coronavirus: England death toll increases by 561 - bringing total to 2,698
See today's updates from across Shropshire, Mid Wales and beyond as a further 561 coronavirus patients have died in England.
This brings the total number of deaths in England to 2,698.
There have been no further coronavirus-related deaths confirmed in Shropshire since the two confirmed yesterday.
The news comes as pressure mounts on the Government to increase coronavirus testing.
Boris Johnson has insisted testing is “the way” through the Covid-19 crisis amid accusations his Government has been too slow to increase testing capacity.
Many doctors and nurses remain off sick self-isolating but could be able to return once they are tested and known to not have the virus.

Meanwhile Shropshire Council has appealed for anybody with spare protective equipment to donate it and Severn Hospice has called for donations after losing more than £100,000 a week in income.
And support continues to be shown for NHS frontline staff across the region, with more clapping for carers expected tonight and a huge message written for health workers in a field near Barr Beacon.
