No new coronavirus deaths at Shropshire hospitals

No new coronavirus deaths have been announced at the county's main hospitals.

NHS England announced a further 356 hospital deaths on Monday, but none were recorded at Shropshire hospitals.

It means the total number of people to have died with the virus at the county’s hospital trusts remains at 455.

There have been 424 Covid deaths at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals Trust, 25 at Shropshire Community Health Trust and six at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital.

According to Office for National Statistics, 227 people have also died in Shropshire care homes.

The ONS shows that 173 people have now died with the virus in Powys.

Meanwhile the UK-wide death toll increased by 406 to 106,564 on Monday.
