A "small number" of coronavirus cases has been confirmed at PGL Boreatton Park in Baschurch.

The company said three staff out of 120 tested positive using PCR tests, and that they were self-isolating in line with Government guidelines.

Shropshire Council confirmed it was aware of the outbreak and said it was aware of "other potential cases which have been tested".

A PGL spokesman said: "We can confirm that a small number of staff at our Boreatton Park centre have tested positive for coronavirus and are self-isolating in line with Government protocols."

PGL is a provider of school activity courses and summer camps for children across the United Kingdom.

A Shropshire Council spokeswoman said: "Shropshire Council is aware of the outbreak at PGL Boreatton Park in Baschurch. We have worked with PGL to support the three current cases and are aware that there are other potential cases which have been tested. The centre has in place all the necessary Covid-secure arrangements and cases and contacts are isolating as per the guidelines."
