How much do you think this turkey weighed? Get it right and you would have been a winner in this guess the weight of a turkey competition held at the Carrefour hypermarket in Telford in the 1970s. Thank you to Patrick Wood for the loan of this photo. Can anybody name the woman and child? Patrick says: "Chukie Turkeys were produced by J P Wood Ltd, Craven Arms, one of the largest turkey producers in the country at the time, and pioneers of modern turkey production. At one time they held the record for the heaviest turkeys in the world."
