North Wales Fire has stressed that safety pleas issued earlier this week still remain.

They are urging people to take simple steps to help prevent serious fire and tragedies.

A spokesperson said: "Temperatures may be falling but it’s still hot and the ground is still dry out there.

"Please help us to reduce fires by not having BBQs in open spaces and not having garden fires/bonfires.

"Please ensure that cigarettes are extinguished responsibly and don't leave rubbish lying around."
