The single-track Common Lane, east of Melverley Green near the Shropshire and Wales border was closed on January 27.

The closure, set to be in place for around 33 days, is due to come to an end on February 28.

According to Shropshire Council, the urgent road closure is due to "carriageway sinkage".

The road is currently closed from the Bontain Farm junction to the junction east of Pool Farm.

A 2.29-mile diversion is in place while the road is closed, directing traffic through Ponthen and past Melverley Village Hall.
