Driver killed in Newtown crash
A driver has been killed in a crash near Newtown.
The two-vehicle collision happened on the A489 Caersws to Newtown Road at 7.40pm yesterday.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesman said: "Sadly the driver of one of the vehicles died at the scene. Our thoughts are with the family, and a family liaison officer has been deployed to provide support at this difficult time."
The road was closed for several hours, with a diversion in place at Penstrowed.
