Man suffers serious facial injuries in A442 crash

A man in his 60s suffered serious facial injuries in a head-on crash with a lorry near Telford.

The man, who was driving a silver Ford Ka, was travelling from Telford on the A442 close to Sytch Lane at Waters Upton at around 11pm on Thursday.

The White Volvo lorry was travelling in the opposite direction when the collision happened. The driver of the lorry, a man in his 30s, was uninjured.

Police are now investigating the crash and are asking for witnesses to come forward.
