Campaigners at The Falcon Inn Community Pub Limited have celebrated becoming the new tenants of The Falcon Inn, in Hinstock, as of September 1.

It comes after the "much-valued pub" closed its doors in December last year, sparking the formation of the community group to have the pub listed as an 'Asset of Community Value' by Shropshire Council.

Now, the hard work has paid off and the group has agreed to a 15-year lease with the option to buy the pub at the end of the tenancy, which campaigners say they are working towards.

Chairman of the group, Ian Walker said: "As ever we are looking for folks to get involved, either practically with any relevant skills, or financially by donations or by taking up shares.
