Hot weather causes water disruption in Market Drayton
Residents in the Market Drayton area were left without drinking water or had low pressure for several hours due to a pipe issue.
The problem started around 5pm on Monday - the hottest day of the year so far, with temperatures reaching 30 degrees Celsius.
It affected houses in Market Drayton, Hinstock and Child's Ercall.
Severn Trent said that due to high demand recently they have had to move water around their pipes in a different way in the area which led to the issues.
Some supplies still may not be fully restored today, and Severn Trent has said people may still experience low pressure.
Jonathan Smith, from Severn Trent, said: "We’d like to apologise to customers in the Market Drayton area for the issues with intermittent water supply last night.
"This was due to high demand in the hot weather meaning we had to move water around our network in a different way.
"There may still be similar issues today but our teams have been working through the night and on into today to try and get this sorted."
