Moped rider seriously injured in crash with van in Market Drayton
A moped rider was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision with a van in Market Drayton.
All three emergency services responded to the collision on Tuesday night.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said it received a call at around 8.30pm reporting a crash on Cheshire Street involving a light van and a moped.
Along with the police and an ambulance, one fire crew from Market Drayton Station made their way to the scene.
The Air Ambulance Critical Care Car from Cosford was sent too.
Firefighters made the vehicles safe and provided trauma care to one casualty before the ambulance arrived.
Their involvement was declared over at around 10pm.
West Midlands Ambulance Service added: "We were called at 8.35pm to reports of an RTC on Cheshire Street in Market Drayton.
"An ambulance and the Air Ambulance Critical Care Car from Cosford were sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews discovered a van and a moped had been involved in a collision.
"The moped rider, a man, was treated for serious injuries by ambulance crews and conveyed on blue lights to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further treatment."
