Roads closed as firefighters tackle house fire near Oswestry
Roads have been closed as firefighters deal with a house fire near Oswestry.
Four fire crews were called out to the incident at Park Green in Whittington, at around 8.30am.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said a fire had spread from the chimney flue to the roof space. Although nobody was injured, roads in the area were closed as a result.
Three fire appliances, as well as the aerial ladder platform, were sent to the scene from Ellesmere, Oswestry and Shrewsbury.
The fire service has asked drivers to avoid the area.
