Father Paul Bishop becomes Bishop in a ceremony at Canterbury Cathedral.

The 47-year-old will have a specialist role as Provincial Episcopal Visitor. This will see him ministering to traditional Anglican Catholic parishes which, on theological grounds cannot accept the priestly or episcopal ministry of women.

His area will include 13 dioceses including Shropshire and he will live centrally in the Lichfield diocese.
