Fire crews called to reports of a car fire in Oswestry

Firefighters were called to reports of a car fire in Oswestry.

A crew from Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the incident at around 5.20pm on Monday in Willow Street, Oswestry.

Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from a saloon vehicle The battery was disconnected prior to the crew's arrival.

One fire appliance was mobilised from Oswestry. Firefighters used a hosereel jet and thermal imaging camera in dealing with the fire.

Crews are continuing to dampen down the area.
