Explanation given for blue paint that's replaced ugly temporary barriers in Oswestry street
The re-design of one of Oswestry's main shopping streets is continuing to prove controversial with red plastic barriers removed, only to be replaced by a bright blue painted strip taking up half of the road.
The barriers, or HOGS, were put in place on Church Street during lockdown to make wider pedestrian areas.
After many complaints about the look of the barriers they were taken down last month.
But in their place has been painted a bright blue lane to designate the area for blue badge parking.
