The brown five-year-old pet went missing during a walk at Welshampton near Ellesmere.

Since his disappearance, his owner Teresa Moore has scoured the countryside in a desperate bid to find her little boy Jacob's much loved 'best friend'.

Turning to social media, her post has now been shared more than 1,000 times with people all over the county keeping an eye out for Teddy.

Teresa, from Hordley near Ellesmere said: "We have received sightings of small brown dogs over the weekend and we have been out to see them but they are not Teddy. I was walking him on fields on Friday morning when he ran off and just didn't come back. I walked for nine hours searching for him and then on Saturday and Sunday we were out for between 10-12 hours each day looking for him again. We have put up hundreds of posters and my post on facebook has been shared and shared again.

"The support and feedback we have had has been amazing and overwhelming.

"We just want him home. He goes everywhere with us, to school, on holiday, everywhere. He was my son's fourth birthday present and they have been best friends ever since."

There is a reward for Teddy's return. Anyone with information or who spots him should call Teresa on 01691 623458 or 07583 593343.
