Inflatable path used to rescue cow from pit near Ellesmere
An inflatable pathway was used to free a cow that had become stuck in a slurry pit.

Firefighters used the blow-up rescue path after the animal got into difficulties at a pit in The Trench, Ellesmere.

Three fire crews were sent from Ellesmere, Oswestry and Wellington at about 5pm today.
It took them nearly an hour and a half to free the animal.
