Traffic delays in Shrewsbury as roadworks begin
Traffic delays are likely around Shrewsbury as roadworks begin in a number of areas.
There will be roadworks on The Mount which are due to start today and last 24 hours.
There will also be roadworks in Huffley Lane, Broad Oak, Shrewsbury, until Saturday while trees are cut, and Cromere Road until Saturday while Western Power Distribution completes work.
Traffic control will be in But Lane, Ford, from today until tomorrow as work by Severn Trent Water takes place, and in Mytton Oak Road until Saturday.
There will be two-way traffic signals from the end of Holyhead Road, Montford Bridge, to the start of Holyhead Road Bicton, Montford Bridge, until Friday while Openreach carries out work.
Other areas affected by roadwork this week include Battlefield, Hereford Road, Belle Vue, London Road, Shrewsbury Road in Hadnall, and areas in Hanwood.
