Emergency services were called to the A49 at Condover at just before 3pm to reports of a collision between two cars.

On arrival, firefighters and paramedics found two people out of the vehicles.

One person had injuries to their hip while another had chest pains and both were taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital by ambulance.

A third man, in his 60s, was trapped in one of the cars.

Firefighters used cutting equipment to free the man, who is thought to have significant leg injuries.

The road was still closed at 4pm.
