Vicki Archer died on August 6

The 41-year-old had a 20-year association with the BBC radio station and presented the afternoon drive time show with co-host Adam Green.

An inquest into her death was opened last week, and heard that police and the ambulance service were called to Ms Archer’s home in Woodcote Way, Shrewsbury, on August 6, where they found the presenter was dead.

The coroner was told that her body was identified by her step father, Lee Holyoke.

Mr Ellery adjourned the inquest until December 5.

Tributes poured in for the popular presenter after the news of her death was announced.

Loved

The fundraising page has raised more than £200 since being set up on Tuesday.

The page says: "It is with great sadness we announce that Vicki Archer has passed away.

"As you will be aware, Vicki was a very talented broadcaster with BBC Radio Shropshire, but also a much loved mother, daughter and niece.

"Her family are totally devastated with her loss, and it has been requested that any donations be made to Shropshire Mind."

After a childhood with her family in the army Ms Archer settled with them in Shropshire.

She said she had fallen into radio, originally answering phones and working behind the scenes.

She went to university to study an undergraduate acting degree, financing her studies by working at The Pulse radio station where she was given her first show.

She moved to Century FM and then onto her first breakfast show with Magic.

Returning to Radio Shropshire she had presented the afternoon drive time show since 2010.

Shropshire Mind was established 42 years ago and provides a range of services, across the county for the one in four people and their families acknowledged to be affected by mental or emotional distress.
