Richie and Roy strike a blow against cancer
There are just hours to go to grab a piece of sporting history in Richie Woodhall's latest charity auction.
To mark the 30th anniversary of his bronze-medal winning fight against Roy Jones Junior at the Seoul Olympics in September 1988, Richie is auctioning two items relating to the contest, with all proceeds going to Teenage Cancer Trust.
A large canvas print of the fight, signed by both Richie and Jones, along with a glove also signed by Jones, will go under the hammer as a single lot at Halls auction house in Shrewsbury tomorrow.
The fight propelled both boxers to glittering professional careers, with Richie, from Telford, going on to become super-middleweight world champion, while Jones became one of the most decorated boxers of his generation, winning world titles in four different weight classes.
The auction takes place at Halls in Bowman Way, Battlefield, Shrewsbury, tomorrow, but online bids can be submitted now on the-saleroom.com/en-gb/auction-catalogues/halls-fine-art-auctioneers where it is listed as lot 100.

Richie has raised thousands of pounds for cancer charities across Shropshire over the past three years with regular auctions held in memory of his father Len.
Len, a well-known boxing trainer in Telford, died from prostate cancer in July 2015, aged 75.
