Electrical fire at multi-storey car park in Shrewsbury

Four fire engines were sent to Raven Meadows car park in Shrewsbury town centre at around 9.30pm on Thursday.

It was found to be an electrical fire in the basement, which was out before crews arrived.

A spokesman for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 9.33pm on Thursday, March 4, we received a call reporting a fire classified as property fire in Shrewsbury.

"Four fire appliances including the light pumping unit were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington. An operations officer was in attendance.

"Also at the scene of the incident were a utility company. Electrical fire in basement area was out on arrival of fire service."
