Shrewsbury police Q&A after attempted car break-ins and anti-lockdown flyering
A police question and answer session will be held after concerns over attempted car break-ins and anti-lockdown leafleting in Shrewsbury.
West Mercia Police will be taking its mobile police station to Belle Vue and Coleham in Shrewsbury for two sessions on Saturday, March 20, to give residents the chance to have their voices heard on crime in the area.
It comes after a number of occasions when people have been seeing attempting to gain access to cars at night, as well as an occasion last month when anti-lockdown campaigners were knocking on doors to hand out flyers - breaking current protocols.
It will be at the Barnabas Church car park in Longden Coleham from noon until 1.30pm, where PCSO Stuart Roberts will be joined by Councillor Kate Halliday. PCSO Roberts will then be at Prospect House top car park in Belle Vue Road from 2pm to 3.30pm with the chair of the Belle Vue and Coleham Community Action Group. Top car park access can be gained from Belle Vue Road or the alleyway in Bynner Street alongside The Prince Of Wales pub.
Social distancing and Covid procedures will all in be in place.
