Man cut free after crash in Shrewsbury

A man was cut free and treated by paramedics after a crash in Shrewsbury.

The one-vehicle crash happened in Hanwood Road, Copthorne shortly before 10am on Friday.

A Shropshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said: "At 9.59am we received a call reporting that a road traffic collision had taken place in Shrewsbury.

"One fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

"One male casualty released from vehicle using Holmatro cutting equipment. Male in care of ambulance. Vehicle made safe by fire service."
