Woman taken to hospital after A5 crash in Shrewsbury
A woman was taken to hospital after a crash on the A5 in Shrewsbury this morning.
The incident happened between the Bayston Hill and Emstrey islands at around 8.20am.
A fire service spokesman said: "At 08.20am we received a call reporting an incident in Shrewsbury.
"One fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.
"Incident involved one private saloon vehicle which had left the carriageway.
"One female casualty was transferred to hospital. Fire crews made vehicle safe."
